So What's Been Happening ??? |

The third anniversary of the F.A.C.E. Foundation came on September 21 2009 and many more stood united in our fight against an evil disease. Though we lost more of our brothers and sisters, we pushed harder in our fight by gaining support and strides were made in research.
The F.A.C.E. family is proud to be able to say we are a part of that. With the economy as it is, it seems everyone is affected in some way or another ….. and we are not immune. That said, it has been another good year meeting new people, talking with old and gaining much support. We now have a “facebook group” thanks greatly to the Moncton Combat Challenge Team…more on them in a later article, but they have been awesome with us in their personal support. Shoppers Drug Mart down our way put on a gala for the ladies in November. Some of the ticket and book sale proceeds went to us. We were all too happy to have some firefighters from St. Catharines and Burlington there to help them. We can’t thank all of you enough for your support and fund raising events taken place for F.A.C.E. this year. Some of things we are working on with our supporters for next year ... more Shoppers Drug Mart events. More involvement with Extrication and Combat Challenges. Our friends in Moncton are planning another combat challenge at their department ... and friends from my department are working on a first ever hockey tournament …whew…. but mostly a chance to meet and greet many new and old supporters. |
