 Wow, what a great night Holly Transmundi and Karen Sorge from Shoppers Drug Mart put together for an "About FACE" gala on May 20 2010 to help raise funds for many of the cancers that afflict our firefighters. Held in Beamsville at the beautiful Peninsula Estate Winery, Tanya Beal from the winery showed everyone who attended, the wineries hospitality by serving hor d'oeuvres and offering tasting of their great wines. A fashion show and prizes were some of the events that happened throughout the night. Firefighters were more than happy to hand out the prizes to the winning guests. Both Shoppers Drug Mart stores held their own BBQ event the week after as part of the gala event. Overall all who attended had a great time. F.A.C.E. personal Mike Gilbert and Tim Catterall were presented cheques from Karen Sorge, Manal El-Zeftewy and Holly Transmundi totaling $ 5,600 from the gala and the BBQ's. We are already looking at different places to host the event and all inquiries and suggestions are welcome. From the F.A.C.E.
